Big, beautiful, and wildly bountiful, Alaska is a traveler’s delight. There are few places in this world with the grandeur and breathtaking beauty of Alaska. You have Mt. McKinley, the highest peak in North America, which on a good day you can catch the alpenglow off Wonder Lake in Denali National Park. Maybe you want to see a 900lb brown bear catching a leaping salmon in Katmai National Park. You could fly out to Dutch Harbor and watch the crab boats from “The Deadliest Catch” leave port. These are a few of the trips you could take when visiting our wonderful state.
If your walking down the street in Kodiak and you stop an Alaskan resident and ask them “salmon steak or halibut filet?” Not only will they have an opinion on the matter, but most more than likely they will sit you down and tell you about there favorite recipe or even there best fishing story- in complete detail. You see that is because we here in Alaska know our seafood. Alaskans have been harvesting seafood form the ocean for generations and we find joy in sharing that experience with you.
